Responsibilities： 
1.  Understand  and  live  by  Axalta’s  core  operating  principles  of  EHS,  ethics,  people  treatment  and  quality. 
2.  Develop  color  according  customer  requirement  and  obtain  customer  approval  with  efficient  communication. 
3.  Have  knowledge  to  develop  color  to  match  customer  spec  with  color  stability  and  efficiency.   
4.  Set  up  color  system  and  expand  tool  box  for  customer  requirement. 
5.  Understand  color  variation  by  application  and  binder. 
6.  Have  basic  color  science  and  understand  color  instrument. 
7.  Responsible  for  finding  suitable  rework  routes  for  distressed  inventory  or  other  non-productive  inventory. 
8.  Support  line  trials  of  new  product  launches  at  customer  sites  as  required. 
9.  Lead  or  take  active  role  in  problem  solving  of  customer  color  issues  using  appropriate  methodology. 
10.  Train  and  supervise  technician  for  continuous  productivity  and  performance  improvement.   

Qualifications: 
1.  Bachelor  or  Master  in  polymer  chemistry,  chemical  engineering  or  material  science 
2.  Minimum  3  years’  experience  in  color  development  and  tinting  experience  in  coating  industry. 
3.  Demonstrated  experience  in  problem  solving,  DOE  and  statistics  software  such  as  Minitab.   
4.  Good  communication  skill  and  desire  to  seek  inputs  across  organizations. 
5.  Good  computer  skills  including  Microsoft  Powerpoint,  Excel  and  Words. 
6.  Strong  verbal  and  written  command  of  English  language.
